How to Frame a Jersey:

MATERIALS  YOU WILL NEED:

Jersey

Measuring tape
Stainless steel pins
Needle
Thread
Matting
Foam board
Plexiglas
Hanging hardware

Step 1.  Make sure that you measure your jersey before you select the frame.  When selecting a frame, bring the jersey so you know exactly what color, size and what material the frame, matting and even the glass you will buy.

Step 2. Pin the jersey to to the matting so it stays still.  Make sure the jersey is straight, flat, there are NO wrinkles or bubbles.  Also be certain that the name and number of the player are visible.

Step 3.  Take the needle and thread and stitch  the jersey on to the matting, make sure you stitch the neckline and the bottom hem line.

Step 4.  Carefully remove the pins. Make sure that when the pins are removed, that they don't rip through the fabric.

Step 5.  Remove protective film from the plexiglas.  Lay the exposed side on the jersey.  Once the plexiglas is centered peel the film from the other side.

Step 6.  Attach the sides of the frame.  Make sure that you use the special mounting brackets to secure the frame.
